Are You Interested In Collaborating With Us On Content For Our Book?

After years of working together on various projects and archival exhibitions, we have decided to come together and write a book , A User’s Manual sort of document to set out to analyse, reveal and explain what constitutes ‘Club Culture’ at its creative core, all the way to its destructive phase, becoming one mega and global cultural ‘Scene’.
The questions we would like to ask and possibly try to find answers to are:
How, When, And Under What Conditions Does ‘Club Culture’ Take Root And Thrive?
We would like to consider ‘Club Culture’ in a much wider sense than is usually understood, and over a much longer time frame like 100 Years- from Harlem To Rave To Now, as a discontinuous continuum and as an entire cultural, aesthetic, socio-political and economic ecosystem.
With a clear vision of the project that has taken us three years to define, we are now ready to start the work on the next phase. Our approach Is dialogical, creative and archival. Our Modus Operandi collaborative and inclusive. We aim to attempt to steer a novel path through and beyond the clashing rocks of the cliched extremes and cul-de-sacs of "The Underground" on the one hand and, “The Academic” on the other.
We are looking for photographs and art pieces that follow the following ideas, themes or sentiments. They don’t have to be “Art”, they could be personal photos, they could be abstract,
We would also love to know the reason why it should be included.
  • The Journey And The Messengers– DJs, Radio & Musicians, Poets & Writers, Mag Publishers,
  • Space: Physical, The Urban And Intellectual Spaces
  • Excess And Destruction – The Paths Of Corporate Commercialism And Excessive Drug Pushing.
  • Create Destroy Repeat – The Music And Magic Formula Of The 4/4 Beat
  • The Hidden ‘People Of The Night’
  • Commodity And The Killing Of Culture
  • Prohibition, Repression And Lockdown
We will hopefully include it in the final (printed) book; we might also use it for printed and online promotions.
